Gail Porter live on beeb.com
What's been your most memorable TOTP ?
Probably the first one I ever did and also the first one from Edinburgh. The first one because it was a programme that I'd always watched and now I was fronting it - that kind of blew me away.
How fast can you down a pint of lager?
I don't drink lager - it makes me burp!

£2.50 and a packet of jelly babies.
Do you get on well with Jayne Middlemiss, Scott Mills and Jamie Theakston?
I don't really know them very well. I've met them all, but it's always been through work circumstances and very briefly but they all seem very nice.
Are you still in contact with your friends from home?
Yes indeedy! I've just spoken to one of my friends from Edinburgh before this chat.
How's Keith?
He's fine thank you very much. How are you?
Why are you wearing an anorak? Is it cold at the BBC? Can't they afford heating?
I'm wearing an anorak because yes, I am slightly chilly. Also I thought it was quite nice!
Are you really as excitable as you appear on the TV?
Yes, definitely. Some times even more so. Sometimes I should be sedated.

No, I had absolutely no idea until I heard about it on the news - which was a bit of a shock, to say the least!
When you were on the SEAT stand at the London Motor Show, you looked scared to death with all the press shouting at you - do you not enjoy those kind of things?
I find them quite intimidating. They are fun, but sometimes when so many people are shouting your name, it all gets a little bit too much for me.
Hiya Gail, you've cut your hair short! Any particular reason?
Just for a change.
What exactly happened between you and Mark Lamarr on Never Mind The Buzzcocks?

Don't know yet, haven't decided. Thanks for telling me I look like a bloke, at least he's a handsome bloke.

That's a very interesting question. I've just bought a book of tatoos which I have just held up to the camera. I'm not entirely sure what I'll get done. Hopefully my book will help me.

Moonwalk.

I'll come back to that one.
What is the biggest cock-up you've made on screen?
Everyone always asks me that question and I can never think of anything. One really embarrassing moment was when I had to dress up in a Habitat light shade and I had to say 'I am the sun, here are my rays'. It was a programme for Channel 4 entertainment. Very weird
Who has inspired you most in showbizz?
When I was wee, I was very impressed by Princess Leia, also Bette Davies, Judy Garland and Janis Joplin. Roy Wood from Wizard was always another one - but there you go.
Have you ever wanted to record a record?
Absolutely not on your nelly. Because I'd be rubbish. I have been offered, but I definitely won't go there, I'll leave that to people with talent.

Life makes me laugh. Every morning I have to put on some funny music to put a smile on my face because then it'll last all day.

It's not irritating, sometimes if I'm feeling a bit low and I want to go out to the shops it can be quite difficult, because people want to speak to you and smile and it's hard smiling all the time. But that happens once in a blue moon.

I have to go now and mend a hole in a fence and leave bread out for my neighbours. May all your futures be marvellous. Goodbye and thank you.
