Evening Standard - Life in London
Where do you live and why?
I'm renting in Soho at the moment, which is brilliant because I've always fantasised about living here.
If money were no object, where would you like to live in London? Primrose Hill or Highgate because I like their villagey feel.
Are you a member of any club? The Groucho, Momo, Agua (at the Sanderson) and Champneys.
What was the last book/record you bought? The Book of Revelation by Rupert Thomson, Neil Young's Harvest and Pink Floyd's The Wall box set.
Do you have a local restaurant/pub?
The Alphabet Bar in Beak Street.
Where would you most like to spend a 'lost weekend' in London? At the Sanderson health spa - I'd have all the treatments and then visit the bar and the restaurant. I'd need someone to go with, wouldn't I? Yes, that does mean I'm single.
What keeps you awake at night? Squirrels arguing - I've been having really weird dreams lately.
Who would you most like to get stuck in a London Eye pod with? The idea of going on the London Eye repulses me - it's such an ugly construction.
When did you last lose something valuable and what was it? My mind (quite regularly).
List three things you would abolish from London life. Grumpy people, miserable weather and umbrellas.
And three things you would make compulsory for Londoners? A smile, good shoes and lip gloss.
When and where did you last get drunk?
In the Alphabet Bar last week.
When was the last time you went to a nightclub? My birthday party a year and a half ago. We went to the Strawberry Moon in Heddon Street.
Where is the sexiest place in London?
Soho at night - I love the sleaze.
What don't you leave London without?
My head and a credit card.
What's the most embarrassing/sleaziest thing you've ever done? If I told you that, I'd never work again.
When did you last lose your temper?
I get upset but I don't lose my temper - it takes up too much energy.
Where did you last blow £500 and what was it on? A night out with friends. We went to Zilli Fish, then to the Groucho - I think £500 had almost certainly been 'blown' by that point.
What's the first piece of advice you'd give a London tourist? Don't stand in the middle of the street reading a map - it's a dead giveaway.
What was the last conversation you had with a London cabbie? He was a sweet Portuguese guy who was telling me that he'd had Michelle Collins and Michael Barrymore in the back of his cab. He also said that an American actress he picked up (I won't give her name) was the rudest person he'd ever met. Then he told me he'd been living in Venezuela; the story did go on a bit.
If you were invisible for a day, where would you go in London and what would you do? I'd follow John Prescott around for a day to see what he actually does.
What's the best thing you can do in London without paying for it? My friend and I find clipping those tap-dancing tips to your shoes and tapping around Bond Street very entertaining.
What do you miss most when you're out of London? Getting lost in a crowd. There are very few other British cities where you can really do that.
What makes you proud to be a Londoner?
The craziness of it.
Have you ever been refused entry anywhere? I went into a porn shop in Soho wearing a baseball cap. The girl behind the counter didn't recognise me at first and nearly threw me out for being under 18 (I'm 29, by the way).
What's your most memorable night out?
The best nights usually start with my best friend and I sitting in a bar. We talk for a bit then decide we want a big night out, so we phone everyone we can think of and then hold court for the rest of the evening.
What is your favourite view? The one from the top of Primrose Hill.
What and where is your favourite painting or work of art? I've got a photograph of my gran all dressed up as the Queen with a crown and sceptre. It was taken not long before she died and I'm very attached to it.
What last made you cry?
Onions.
Where in London would you have your ashes scattered? In the alley beside the Raymond Revue bar. In among the sleaze is where I belong.
If your house were on fire, which three things would you rescue? I'd sit back and let it burn - after all, it's just stuff.
